Moonbathing was one of my first mermaid paintings. There is something powerful in the air on a full moon night that to me beacons all the beings that live in the mystical world to come forward and be felt or even seen by humans. This mermaid lives in the waters of Hawaii and tends to swim very deep in the ocean so her tail is full of bioluminescent colors similar to deep-sea life. She also is marked with a sleeve of tattoos from her tribe of mermaids.
